34. Thanks for reminding me -- I share a birthday with her -YIKES- the big 50
The photos of Joan are wonderful -- she's aged as beautifully as her music. Last summer, I wept while listening to her sing "Where have all the flowers gone" at the DC march. I was lucky to be very close to the stage and was astounded by how great she looked for someone who sang that song almost identically when I was only a teenager. The saddest thing about it though was that it needed to be sung again.
Another January 9th birthday is Richard M. Nixon.

Even though I'm turning 50, I am told I look much younger. I think that the activism helps (and exercise for getting the 'mads' out!).
Joan Baez should be our poster child for how to age with grace and beauty through activism.
