Hi,

Like me, you've probably watched the ports security scandal unfold in the last couple weeks and wondered what you can do about it. Well, I just signed a MoveOn.org petition calling on Congress to require the President to do a real investigation into the national security implications of the deal, and give Congress the power to accept or reject the deal based on the findings.

Right now, Bush is insisting on keeping his investigation secret and then deciding himself - but he's already said he supports the deal!

Why would Bush do this? It tuns out that he's also negotiating a free trade agreement with the UAE and major industry lobbyists have been pushing hard for the port deal to avoid upsetting the Emirs of the UAE. We can't let Bush's pandering to corporations endanger our security yet again.

Please join me and sign this petition today!

Thanks!

We've reached 1% of our goal of 250,000 signers! (3,490)
