I question whether this will ever go to even the deposition stage. I'm not a lawyer, but I really can't see how a court in New York will pursue a civil case for something that happened on foreign soil (the only precedents I know of are the terrorism suits concerning PanAm 103, and I believe that took an act of Congress) but maybe they can pull it off.

the money they're after is probably from the book deals in the US, I would think.
