I'm not a prude, but I work in professional fields that pretty much require a clean vocabulary. I never curse, even when I'm off work, and I work with many people who also never curse. If I actually SAID the word "FUCK", it would shock and offend many of them and lower their perception of me. If I said it in the classroom, it could actually get me disciplined.

Buck Fush both avoids the technicalities of cursing AND injects humor into the statement, making it more acceptable to many people while still getting the basic point across.
