It doesn't surprise me that the Hunts, all right-wingnuts, were big supporters of LBJ, nor that their names were associated with the Kennedy murder. Both those facts merely strengthen my long-held opinion that LBJ was not the good man that Bill Moyers and so many other Democrats mistakenly continue to insist that he was. On the contrary, he has always seemed to me to be a sociopathic megalomaniac who would do anything -- including murder -- to attain and hold power.

IMHO, good politicians -- at least good Democrats -- are never supported by fascists of the Hunts' ilk. Those people are the philosophical enemies of any real populist. Anybody they support is not to be trusted.
