22. I remember the conversations that were rampant the day GW announced
he was running for the first term. Everyone was so shocked at the huge war chest he opened with. Speculation was flying on the where/why/who the heck he was and who thought he was worth more than a passing glance. The general consensus, those first few days, was that he was a tool for poppa and his friends to get back in control. I've always thought their plan kind of backfired on them when GW got a taste of power and shut them out. All they could do was sit back and watch to see if he could handle the job. Obviously, he couldn't...so, they are back in the picture.
