57. So what? We still live in a Democracy where people are ELECTED to office.
HE was elected by THE PEOPLE of his district to be THEIR Representative. You said:

So the conclusion is that Alcee Hastings is an impeached judge, convicted by a DEMOCRATIC controlled Senate.

This man SHOULD NOT be a sitting Congressman, much less Chairman of the House Intel Committee.

So I told you WHY he IS a Congressman. The Senate could have stopped him from running and THEY chose not to. WHY?

THE PEOPLE elected him.

All the evidence against the man was circumstantial. I don't think he's guilty of anything. His behavior since, tells me that. Why in the world would Mr. Hastings set himself up for MORE scrutiny if he is GUILTY? Most guilty people don't do that...they run and hide. He didn't. No one ever answered my question about that either. Why didn't his opponent in '92 expose his wrong doing if he's so guilty? SURELY, Nancy Pelosi knows more about Alcee Hastings than WE DO? Just a thought.

Now, I'm finished with this thread. I'm so tired of us eating our own.
