Bush thinks Martin strategist Scott Reid has a pretty face

Bush Tells Canadian Prime Minister's Scott that He has a Prettier Face Than Bush's Scott: We Are Not Making This Up!

January 18, 2004

A BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY

The President chuckled. "Well, you got a pretty face," he told the surprised Mr. Reid. He wasn't done. "You got a pretty face," he said again. "You're a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott anyway."

Read whole account at:
Bush prefers our pretty boy to his pretty boy

Well at least he didn't say the guy was better looking than Laura.

I needed a laugh. I've been sick all week. What better run up to the State of the Union than the President of the United States coming-on to the senior strategist to Paul Martin, Prime Minister of Canada. The only problem for Dubya is the strategist's name is Scott. With the Family Research Council, Focus on the Family and every other right wing group trying to get Dubya to take a more derisive, divisive, or even more decisive stand on gay unions, this should make a hit. Comedians will have a field day. I can't wait to see Saturday Night Live and I wish I had cable so I could see the Daily Show.

The setting for his remark was tropical; you know how that tropical heat is. It was Monterrey, Mexico during the Summit where Bush was trying to explain why Canada has free borders with the US, and not Mexico. He had finished breakfast with Martin and their closest aids, when Martin called, his assistant, Scott Reid in for a briefing, as the group waited for the press. Apparently Bush was de-briefing Mr. Reid with his eyes. Were they boxers or briefs, Dubya?

I am working on something regarding Monkey's actions and mental acumen.
