My other downer scenario (the one I think most likely): The Democrats are permitted to win, but the races are weighted toward Bushite Democrats (like those who voted for torture and suspension of habeas corpus), who, combined with outright Bushites, will still hold a majority in Congress for war with Iran, a military Draft, and suspension of habeas corpus for uppity antiwar activists, Draft dodgers, election reformers and old grannies in wheelchairs about to have their Social Security "privatized."

That way, they keep their full-on election theft capability for future uses. To those of us still objecting to Bushites "counting" all the votes with TRADE SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code, they'll say, "What's your beef? The Democrats WON!" (And the Democrats will say it, too. "What's your problem with Bushites 'counting' all the votes under a veil of corporate secrecy? 'WE' won!"

Hm-m? Gotcha, didn't I? That's it. That's what they're gonna do. They might have to pull off only a few tactical swearings-in, in that case. Bush and Cheney eat a little false crow and act chastised for a couple of seconds. (So much for gay bashing.) And the war goes on.
