63. My birth name never meant anything to me.
My family abused and rejected me, and my birth name is a reminder of that.
My married name is no better, I don't want any reminder of that asshole
on documents pertaining to me.

The name Kailassa was acquired in a weird way, and meant that at last I had
a name for my inner self that I could identify with.

Yes, it's a "nickname", but it's more my name than any other I've had.

So I would say there is no such thing as a "real" name anyway.
The essence of a person is not contained in any one bunch of letters like
a genetic code. A person's character is reflected by what they do and what
they write. A name that someone else chose for you means little.

"By their fruits shall you know them."
