and speaking of the "American Way of Life" . . .

that BushCo seems so intent on protecting, the bottom line is that said "American Way of Life" is over, done with, finished . . . we WILL come to the realization -- at some point -- that we're going to have to do things differently to preserve not only our nation, but the planet itself . . . things like . . .

- weaning ourselves off fossil fuels
- abandoning the meat-based diet
- recycling ALL resources
- strictly regulating corporations
- developing new jobs in new, environmentally-friendly industries
- raising taxes to provide necessary services, including a real safety net for the least of us . . .
- accepting our new role as an equal partner (rather than an controlling empire) in world affairs . . .

and on, and on, and on . . . the change is coming . . . we just haven't accepted it yet . . . and the longer we wait, the tougher it's going to be on everyone . . .
