16. As long as we're worried about being "reasonable" and having
"civil" debate, we are at the mercy of those with whom we would split the difference.

They use this against us, by knowing that we, out of fear of seeming "extreme" or "shrill" (one of their favorite invectives against liberals), will "split the difference" on:

Civil liberties.
Torture.
War.
The transfer of wealth to the wealthy, and civic burdens to the poorest.



It's time to stop meeting them halfway on things like courting the KKK, Nixon's "Southern Strategy", and all the vile monstrosities born from the same swamp.

Stand up and say, NO. Start with Censure. Win the House back, and impeach. And that's just the beginning.


Which is the long way of saying, GREAT POST. (Especially at 5 in the morning!)
