For Dems to win the 2008 ticket it will take someone who is strong in international relations, first and foremost. Second will be domestic policy and the environment. ANY Dem who is nominated will be automatically sensitive to both domestic and the environment.

Forget Gore for the moment because there is less of a guarantee that he will even run.

Who is the best suited in international relations? John Kerry and Wes Clark
As a running mate focused on domestic and the environment? Clinton, Feingold & Obama

That's as close as I could reason it and it looks like a tough choice for any of us.

I also think the U.S. citizenry would be more apt to go for a woman or a minority in a Vice Presidential position 1st, before Pres.

If Kerry won the nomination, then Clark would get Rummy's spot.

Just some thoughts
