When one party controls the entire government, we don't have any luxuries at all. In such cases, what's important is to balance out the power and get the other party some control. This would probably get me completely trashed if I posted it in certain other forums, but I'd take some conservative Dems if it'd give us control of the Senate. Sure I'd prefer liberals, but we have to be pragmatic.

When our Senators and Reps screw up, the thing to do is contact them and complain about it -- coherently, respectfully, but firmly -- NOT call for them to be removed from office.
