9. I gave birth to my only child at home.
So when the midwives were checking his vitals, color, ten fingers, and ten toes, for the moment after his birth, I already had his chart in my hands and I'm such and astro head that my first thought was, "this kid's parents don't get along." It was as though for that moment, I dissociated from being like. . .THE MOTHER.
Then, my second thought was, "this kid's will is stronger than mine. I surrender, I surrender." It was as though in that moment, I accepted that I was like. . .
HIS MOTHER.

He's a Gemini, with a Cancer Moon, a Virgo rising, and a mighty stellium in Leo so he's had a slew of Saturn transits for the past 7 years or so and aside from having horrendously bad relationships with his really inept science teachers (until this year-this one is a gem), I would say that Saturn has helped him. . .mature (e-gads.)

The Pluto opposition to his Sun probably escalated his experience of puberty.

Saturn's first pass over his Ascendant had him taking standard academic courses where he found himself surrounded by angry Goths. That made him realize that he should switch courses to the Honors courses which he really likes and which his teachers had recommended last year. He had been over reacting to his lousy science teacher from last year. So far so good.

All one can do is recognize that transits will come and transits will go. They always have positive and negative potentials. I've explained the cycles he is under with an annual chart and Tarot reading, on the night before the first day of school and on other occasions when I know that his chart is getting a direct hit.

Other than that, rather than freaking out, maybe consider visualizing them as happy and healthy as you possibly can. It's probably much better magic.
