10. I've been in two "shakers"
Both were in Las Vegas. Before we moved there, ex dh and I were on separate beds in the hotel watching tv. I felt the bed quake. I thought, what was that? It took a couple of minutes before I asked him, did you just feel something? He said, yeah. Some of the larger hotels had chandaliers swinging, especially on the upper floors. Several months later, early one morning, I thought the dog was jumping on the bed. Then I noticed the sliding closet doors were swinging. I woke him up and we went outside and saw the stop lights bouncing up and down. Some people reported cracked swimming pools and water splashing out. Both of these were caused by quakes in California. Not very 'serious' ones. Your legs kind of feel like jello. It is indeed a strange sensation.
