1. I think it's VERY important to remember where we came from
Those heady early days of the campaign were important in one way: that the underllying theme of the campaign, what WE knew it was about, returning power to the people and wrenching control from the lobbyists and DC insiders, was connecting and resonating.

I have never seen or felt nor been a part of a Presidential campaign that outlived the election, ever, and we knew there was something going on even then. Howard, always pragmatic, tried to express this to the press-remember his comment on how he couldn't expect DFA to follow his "orders" and that we were independent of him in many ways?
Of course MSM took this as some kind of veiled threat, and other groups twisted our enthusiasm for the ideas as some kind of hero-worship, ignoring the actuality that the candidate knew full well he was just at the front of this massive wave, and he was riding it, but that thw wave moved on no matter who was riding it.

The empowerment that came out of that, that can't be put back in the bottle. It's grown far too large.
