a question for "cooking experts"

This weekend I had an ackward situation because my brother married this wonderful wonderful woman and we visited them for the weekend. She is an excellent cook, and please I love cooks, but lordy she just went on and on. She made little hourderve stuff and then she had shrimp with this great sauce and that was before dinner even started.

We just stuffed ourselves during the game and everytime the Chargers dropped the ball or had it hit somebody's helmet instead of catching the damn thing she just pulls out another tray of finger food. I was worried that she would get angry at all the stuff we dropped on her brand new sofa.

So what's the problem?

She has the energy of hummingbird and can eat nonstop.

After the game we then had to sit down and eat a full 7 course dinner. Is she going to feed my brother to death? They got a big insurance policy so I am begining to wonder.

I always wanted to have a good friend or family member that was a good cook but now I can't figure out what to do.

Any good cooks have any suggestions on how to tone down her 'cookiness'?
