many people will have seen this website no doubt. It is interesting because it pulls together the various threads in the fundamentalist Christian takeover in the US, particularly at government level. What is frightening is the influence that the fundie Christians have on the US judicaiary.

Federal Judge, James Leon Holmes, speaking to the Society of Catholic Social Scientists in Ann Arbor, Mich, in 2002 (appointed July 2004)>>>

<snip>

"Christianity transcends the political order and cannot be subordinated to the political order."

and

"The final reunion of Church and state will take place at the end of time, when Christ will claim definitive political power of all creation, inaugurating an entirely new society based on the supernatural."

<snip>

The UK is home to some nutters but this character is a gold plated loony. I'm frightened and I don't even live in the US.

Germany 1933 >>>

Pennsylvania 2001 >>>
