Tainted Mexican Candy - One more thing to think about when buying food - Reported in CA study

For years I have been checking labels to make sure that the food my family eats is manufactured in the U.S.A. I thought by doing this I was protecting myself as well as them.

http://www.fda.gov/opacom/7alerts.html This link gives you updates of recalled food.

Well now with the big hoop la about Chinese contamination of food being shipped here I started to look even closer at the food I buy and just the other day my husband bought a bag of candy from our local Dollar store and when he got home I tasted a piece of it before I looked at the wrapper and thought one of the pieces tasted like it had soap in it which made me wonder where it was made. I checked it and it was made in Mexico by an El Paso, TX company.

This made me check the internet to find out about any recalls that may have been made on this candy and wow did I ever get a surprise! Take a look at this!:
