11. Paragraph 175: Thanks for this info about this film.
With such stories from his fellow holocaust survivors, how could he turn on 100,000 victims of Hitler?

A book, "Damned Strong Love" tells the true story of a Polish youth who fell in love with a German soldier. We learn how the Germans took houses from Polish people and gave them to Germans. The boy wrote a letter to the soldier which led to the boy's arrest. He never heard form the soldier again.

After the fall of the communism many people came forward to tell the stories of their suffering during the war and under communism. The play, "I am my own wife" is another such story which is about a transvestite. (It's a rather odd story, but well told.)

Its sad that homophobia is an evil that seems to have transcended the fall of other great evils. Christianity commands people to love their neighbors. Perhaps the false christianity of wars and hate will soon follow their evil comrades.
