There's tons of abuse going back and forth between NY and Boston. NY has always seemed smug and obnoxious, and the Sox, until recently, have always had an inferiority complex with NY. I'm a Boston guy, but I've been to NY, and I love it. Just because I hate the team doesn't mean I hate the city. And besides, I like the Indians when they aren't playing Boston. ;)

There's no way to avoid having your city trashed if you're a sports fan, so you can't take it personally or your blood pressure is sure to rise. People can say anything they want about Boston. I know what's it's really like here and that's good enough. It's a great city, and I'm sure Cleveland is, too. Any city that has winter works for me. :)
