17. I sorta know how you feel I left the Catholic Church a while ago
My own mother doesn't even know about it and it would crush her if I told her that her boy (I am 23) no longer holds the same faith as he used to (she's a liberal Catholic by the way which makes it tougher to just spring it on her because she is well meaning and has no issues with gays being married or women having the right to choose)

I've been delving into Buddhism being that I privately agreed with much of the philosophy for a very long time another fact I kept to myself.

All I can say is no matter if you go full blown atheist or agnostic or any belief or philosophy that doesn't depend on the rule of a God or a holy book, it is incredible how you actually feel closer to the teachings of Jesus Christ and other philosophers which preached peace and at the same time you take off the shackles of truly free thought......now your problem will be in a way a real blessing you're going to experience the feeling of having a truly free and open mind and you're going to burn yourself out in a newfound pursuit of knowledge about virtually everything that so much as taps your attention.

It will happen if it hasn't already trust me :)

Best of luck to you.
