I can't read the original language and so can't assess his full comments in context

However, the polymorphous nature of human sexuality, that Freud long ago noticed, appears to be an established fact, supported by decades of subsequent research -- and it appears that this variable nature rather commonly expresses itself in adolescent sexual experimentation

So (although I cannot be sure exactly what the bishop's views are) it seems entirely possible to me that some of what he said is entirely correct and defensible
