I wrote Mr. Thomma and included a link to the letter from the House judiciary committee along with some additional info. Asked that he please continue to cover the irregularlies since most of the mainsteam media wants to forget about it. I also mentioned the exit polls in this country being ignored, while the ones in the Ukraine get all the coverage. He works with Knight Ridder, usually they are halfway fair in their reporting.

WASHINGTON -- Ohio counties certified election results Wednesday showing that President George W. Bush carried the pivotal battleground state Nov. 2 and with it won a second term. But the certification did not yet seal the state results.

One coalition of voters and interest groups plans to seek a recount of the vote.

Another plans to file a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court today contesting Bush's victory.

Despite these challenges -- and rampant rumors on the Internet that Republicans stole the election for Bush in Ohio -- it is unlikely the election is going to be overturned. Consider:

•Even Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry has refused to join the challenges. He conceded Ohio and the election on Nov. 3 after his aides concluded there was no reasonable chance for him to overturn Bush's margin. Kerry's campaign has filed one legal brief arguing that if there is a statewide recount, it should include all Ohio counties.
