Lynn Landes site referenced above is one of the better sites on voting that I've come across. There has been much discussion about how voting technologies are owned by Republicans. What her site shows is that not only are these companies laregely in Republican hands but that they are also in the hands of military industrial complex. Her site doesn't prove that the US vote was rigged for Bush, but it does raise the suspicion that members of the intelligence/defense community think that ownership of these machines is in their geopolitical and financial interests. It sure the hell is cheaper and less messy to use voting machines to give the perception of legitamacy to goverments these groups support. Why else would we be voting on these machines?
