9. Not much
He's not stupid enough to commit to something that is very unpopular in Canada.

Like many other social liberal/fiscal conservative Canadians, I happen to like Paul Martin. I don't blame him for forcing Chrétien out after the latter overstayed his welcome. I tend to like a true diplomat as a Prime Minister, someone we don't have to be embarrassed about on the international stage.

In a perfect world we would have all the social programs needed to make life comfortable for those who are less fortunate, but in reality our demographic make this next to impossible. I for one, am glad he's not mortgaging our future by being fiscally irresponsible like so many of his predecessors.
