There were several threads here on TABOR in the spring when the repigs were trying to ram it through.

TABOR would essentially cripple our local and state governments from passing legislation that required funding - even the tiniest, most inexpensive legislation - without a referendum. That's why we elect our representatives in the first place. They are supposed to go to the townhall, the courthouse and the capital and do their job. If we don't have the money, then the answer is to vote no or rework the budget. If we don't like how they vote, we vote them out.

Colorado has lived under a TABOR system for about 10 years. The quality of their public education has declined, their public services have eroded to almost nothing. They are hurting and a repeal is on the table.
