126. ACLU book reading, Seattle 6/11
I’m pleased to invite you to join the ACLU's Executive Director, Anthony D. Romero, for a book reading and signing of In Defense of Our America: The Fight for Civil Liberties in the Age of Terror, written with award-winning journalist Dina Temple-Raston.

When: Monday, June 11 at 7:30 pm
Where: Town Hall
1119 Eighth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98103
(Admission $5)

In Defense of Our America takes readers behind the scenes to tell the stories of real Americans on the frontlines of the fight for civil liberties. It is a narrative of American tragedy and hope, written by one of the most dynamic civil liberties leaders in the country. In a format that allows the characters to tell the story, Anthony takes a critical look at civil liberties in this country at a time when constitutional freedoms are in peril. The personal stories are powerful, upsetting and inspiring and, in the end, will make you more committed than ever to defending our Constitution, our civil liberties and our America. Learn more about the book here.

I hope you’ll join Anthony on Monday, June 11 for this book reading and signing. If you care about the state of civil liberties in America today, I guarantee you’ll be inspired. Sincerely,

Karen Curry
Director of Communications
ACLU
