First Reading: Jon Stewart weighs in on Perry’s unusual New Hampshire speech

You didn’t think the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart was just going to let Gov. Rick Perry’s bizarre Friday speech in New Hampshire pass right by without taking a swing, did you?

In the speech, Perry giggles at his own jokes, is particularly animated, sways back and forth and over-reacts with joy when given a bottle of maple syrup by his hosts.

Stewart: “Best case scenario: That dude’s hammered. Worst case scenario: That is Perry sober, and every time we’ve seen him previously, he’s been hammered. Or, there is one other explanation. Rick Perry just got back from the dentist.”
