I was in NW Arkansas the other day and was very impressed with the selection of newspapers available to the people. Several to choose from with not as much conservative bias. It was refreshing seeing a better selection of reading material to choose from. Last night I was online reading the Daily Oklahoman RW rag. There is a section called "Feedback" where a question is asked of the readers and you are able to post comments regarding the subject of the question. The question was: Do you plan to vote Nov. 7th, why or why not? I read through all of the comments of the misinformed. Mostly flag wavers with a tiny amount of substance, tiny amount of liberal and tiny amount of conservative view, but, again, nothing of real substance. Well, I decided to throw in my 2 cents, LOL It went like this:
Yes....Why? It is time to out the defenders of the cheap labor ideology who have opened the public purse to the corporate interests and who cannot tolerate the thought of helping the people who really need the assistance. You see, destitute people work cheaper, while a harsh police state keeps them suitably terrorized. The ones who are thirsty for a change must get out in vote in massive numbers in order to offset any possibility of manipulation by the Republican controlled voting system. -----
Apparently, The DOkla'n editors thought this to be just a little bit to realistic and a little bit to intelligent thought for their readers to see. Overnight, they pulled that particular question in the Feedback column.
I also submitted a LTTE last night:
It is not about "cutting and running"
It is about putting the leadership in place whom is competent enough to bail us out of this mess in Iraq one way or the other with the least loss of life. We expected a Texas Governor to be savvy on the issue's regarding foreign policy? Understand the Muslim culture and have a game plan that would work? No, he only listened to the PNAC ideologues and fixed the intelligence to sell it, that is fact. There are others who are much more qualified than this administration to deal with the Middle East arena. Unfortunately, Americans decided, with a little help through disenfranchisement and our one party voting system, that they would trust a Texas Governor and the K Street project players before they would trust the other option, the players who actually have balanced foreign policy and military experience. Now who do you trust to fix it?
-------
Think they will print it before the election? HA...I would be extremely surprised if they are willing to subject their readers to the facts.
