1. it would be very foolish for the Coakley campaign to assume they can
coast to victory . . . I'd like to see them put real energy, and a vigorous discussion of real issues, out there between now and January 19, to make sure that that "white male Republican" (a type more appealing to more MA voters than the media seems to think) stays put in MA.

Though expected, I found the low primary turnout, for such an important election, nevertheless disheartening, and the quotes from cheerfully uninformed, uninterested, "busy", and/or unregistered voters in today's Boston Globe even more so. Hopefully MA Dems will bestir themselves to do what needs to be done on Jan 19.
