18. You might have noticed that Hillary was a woman.
There was a significant amount of sexism used to discredit her. She was the shrill wife of Bill who didn't belong in the job she was in. She didn't know "her place".

The Republican party operates on hatred and fear and discrimination. They have for decades. If you remember back to the primaries, there were almost constant complaints on DU about how Hillary was treated unfairly by the media because she was a woman.

Why are people on DU trying so hard to pretend racism and sexism don't play major roles in how the RW fights Democrats. These are the tactics they use. This is how they attract the bigots, homophobes and sexist pigs to their party. This is how they motivate them. Hate and fear. So why isn't it logical that the result is that their constituents act like racists when a Black president is elected.
