If they are successful, then the USCC will devote $100 million to kicking the Democrats out of Congress, which does not even include the billions of dollars in in-kind aid in the form of propaganda from Fox News. Conversely, if there is no public option, then the Democrats will lose the support of progressives.

It does appear that President Obama should have used the economy as an excuse, and dropped any effort at reform until some future date after we have recovered from the recession and the streets are paved with gold.

Seriously, you have to appreciate those Democrats who do work their asses off to support progressive causes despite the threat of being bulldozed by $100 million.
