It seems there's a fine lesson there for anyone willing to look. The corollaries between that and the climate on the Left here and now is striking to me, especially in regards to the situation with Speaker Pelosi. The Repubs are playing into an understandable (imo) dislike of her, and we seem to be taking the bait, though thankfully I've noticed a few more today that seem to understand how we're being played. But there's still too many that are letting their hatred of her undermine the very justice they wanted to see delivered in the first place, a very depressing feature of this current conflict.

Thank you again for the recap. I'm going to have to start reading about this period of history.
