5. We could have stronger leadership in the Senate if "we" wanted it
and we wouldn't even have to remove Harry Reid.

A strong Majority Leader gets his/her strength from THE COMMITTEE CHAIRS. Where's the Majority Leader's power? There is no special power that comes with being Majority Leader and the leader cannot be a committee chair. There's no other source for power but the committees and those run on seniority. "Personal Magnetism" or "gumption" of the Leader doesn't count for anything unless that Leader has the power to reward loyalty or punish disobedience.

You have to get the more important chairmen together in a pact to push through a desired platform first, then the Majority Leader will have clout to get things done and negotiate from strength. The Leader will have clout because the Committee Chairs have clout and if there's some wayward member of the caucus who isn't being a good team player then they must get nothing but trouble from every important committee in the Senate until they reform. You can have party discipline in this way, and get stuff done, or you can have 59 individual members each trying to screw the other and make the majority come crawling for their individual vote with bribes and influence.

As it is now we have NOBODIES from piece of shit nothing states, and outright traitors holding the entire country hostage.
