"Palin was a hugely popular True Believer in the Republican cause, but she was saddled with a RINO at the top of the ticket at a a time when no Republican could have won anyway, due to Jorge's unpopularity. Now that Obama's been doing all these horrible liberal things that we've been screaming and screaming and SCREAMING about for the last four years, the time is right for her to emerge from the wilderness to lead us to victory".

I expect this message to be amplified through the right-wing echo chamber and from there to filter into the Republican-controlled "mainstream" media. Whether it'll do her any good remains to be seen, though.
