I do feel a bit sorry for him, because of the humiliation he will face next month and beyond, but if there is such a thing as karma, he has earned far worse than he will suffer on the long ride back to one of his many houses full of servants.

There's no shame in feeling sympathy, but as for where you got the idea that McCain is a "fine man," well... :shrug:

I won't waste your time pointing out his flaws or his myriad betrayals of Americans and rest of the world, because if you cared about that sort of thing, you'd already be aware.
