until I moved in July. So this time around I'm out in Kane Co. at a whole new location. No experience out here in Denny Hastert land but we'll see..... anyway, my story....

Last time I voted in '06 the scantron machine at St. Daniel's spit out my ballot (Dem) 2 times before it accepted it. After 2 rejections I was concerned and asked the election judge if this were normal behavior. He assured me that the vote would count and all was well even though the machine was malfunctioning. Before loading the ballot for the third time I asked him if I could take a picture of it with my cell phone. He amicably agreed (and I know you know my former location - deep red Wheaton IL, at one of the reddest spots in Dupage). I snapped it and voila! the scantron machine finally took my ballot on the third try AFTER I took the photo.

I mildly looked over at the gentleman and wondered aloud about what had happened. He blandly looked back at me and said "huh, weird." Tammy Duckworth lost by a hair to the despicable Pete Roskam of robocall infamy. Bottom line: the rethugs in Dupage have long, tangled roots in election fraud. Be careful out there and thanks for voting Dem AND being educated enough to know your rights. That's what it will take to turn the tide of corruption there.
