rumor that Powell would endorse Kerry and then when the media grabbed it and the news came out that he was with Bush, Bush got MORE coverage of the news.

Rove floated the rumor that Schwarzkopf was endorsing Kerry....then when as many news cameras as possible showed up for Schwarzkopf, he endorsed Bush. They even did the same with rumors of Tommy Franks, who then endorsed Bush and then went on TV claiming Kerry was lying in his attacks on Bush's actions during ToraBora. We all know now Kerry told the truth but corpmedia sided with Franks and Bush.
