It looks like Brokaw has finally come to terms that his beloved GOP isn't going to pull this out of the bag. He's talking like this is a wake ...

I did notice however that he didn't say much at all about Palin being found GUILTY of abusing her power in the Trooper Gate Report. He quickly dismissed it as a "speed bump" which I think is total horseshit. He and his Repub guest also quickly dispelled the notion that Palin is now becoming a drag on their ticket because she'd only exciting hard-liners within their base and nobody else.

Brokaw will forever be remembered in my book as a GOP HACK who was brought in to carry his party's water and help them pull it out.

God Bless Tim Russert ... I miss the guy terribly.
