from stylistic points. Because that's what these events are, anymore. That's how they've been reduced and "American Idol-ized," I guess. It's all stagecraft and schtick anymore. Especially with a lightweight like palin, who doesn't bring much in terms of genuine substance to anything or any place or any event. She was all fluff and makeup and hair and smoke and mirrors. And schtick.
