the subtle racists who don't publicly (or even privately) acknowledge their prejudice/hatred. Those people are far more insidious and harder to tackle because they're harder to identify. Also, people who are so obviously racist just show off how idiotic they are. The ones who are more low-key about it can appear to be reasonable and thus earn the trust/respect of people who might not be aware of that aspect of theirs.
