10. I too wonder...
how long before this thread is locked.

For a few months, I worried more about him getting assassinated than losing the election. That's how completely I believe that this election is going to bring racists out of the closet.

And those who say that racists aren't a voting majority make me laugh. They don't have to be a national majority. Just a sufficiently significant MINORITY to SWING A STATE.

I think that's what the voter registration push is for. To cancel out the REALITY that the RACISTS *WILL* COME OUT TO VOTE this year. Like rats from a burning house, they will scurry out of their closets to vote for McCain.

Moreover, we have yet to see the Rovian spin. I know people want to believe that we've managed to get past all of the not-the-norm qualities of our candidate. But they'll ooze out closer to the election.

The one I can see most likely is a series of images of Obama being greeted and welcomed by African-Americans and the caption - whose champion is he? Will he really be YOURS? Suggesting that Obama is somehow only going to champion African-American issues.

It's soooooooo obvious. And so easy. Maybe the average DU'er would never fall for it... but some Americans are going to.

That's why Obama's campaign is filled with images of Obama surrounded by people of all shapes and sizes. Because the spin is coming.
