13. I don't care if Obama does say something about race
I didn't care when Hillary talked about gender or McCain talked about age. And back in 1960 I didn't care if Catholics voted for Kennedy - just because.

I feel that people have life's experience that makes them unique. Age, race and gender provide unique experience and to me it's a good thing.

It's not the only reason to vote for someone. But it's one thing that makes me feel like they bring new perspective to government and America moves closer to fulfilling its promise. It might mean that the person has a certain empathy that I'd like to see in a president for a change. After the last 7+ years of W's sociopath behavior, I'm ready for someone different in brains and background. In our last two remaining Dem primary candidates we had those qualities.

By acting like there's something wrong with pointing out race we could be giving the impression that there's something wrong with having a different skin color than previous presidents. And I won't go there.
