Forget debunking it to your relatives. They know those e-mails cannot be believed. They are pretending they believe them, or they WANT to believe them, and there is nothing you can do about that.

When I hear about those same ol' e-mails, I tell so-called friends, "Oh, come on. You know you can't believe those rightwing e-mails. They always do that. They did that to Kerry, too. You know better than that."

I don't get into the specifics, because there is nothing you can say to counter their supposed belief. But I call them on their common sense...because deep down they know those e-mails are not true. We've discussed various of those types of e-mails in the past.
