I think your state may be exceptional. I'm talking about rural based ignorance from my perspective as a northeast "liberal" living the baptist south. This doesn't make the terms rural or ignorance synonomous. I live with urban based ignorance every day.

City mouse country mouse differences today exist in almost every region and neighborhood because of the mobility of the population. There are a lot of rural areas where I would rather live.
