That is exactly what he was trying to do when he said he could understand the residual anger of some older African-Americans,
and he could understand the 'bitterness' of some middle-class white people who've lost jobs, etc.

It all makes sense.
Rev. Wright is an eminently intelligent and accomplished scholar who (ironically, given the public perception of him that's developed
in recent weeks) apparently deserves a lot of credit for teaching Barack Obama TOLERANCE and increasing the depth of his understanding.

Amazing.
