37. I have a huge whiskey decanter sitting on my antique dining room table as the centerpiece...
...it is one of six decanters that had been in a San Francisco saloon at the turn of the century ~~ last one, not this one! It is the only one of the six that survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
I will look around and see if I can find the papers that came with the thing when I got it...like about 20 years ago...and see exactly where it came from. Wonder if there is any connection with your grand grandpop. Now wouldn't that be interesting!
