27. Gore has said nothing on who he would endorse
None of them have an extensive resume on global warming, Gore's passion. However, last time, Gore did not endorse Kerry who had the best record in the Senate on the environment and who is married to an environmentalist and who had worked with Gore on that issue since 1987. He endorsed Dean at a point everyone had written Kerry off. Dean's record in Vermont was mixed.

People have speculated that he and Hillary were rivals and not particularly friendly during the Clinton years. But that is mostly speculation. Your post (and my response) were based on the assumption that he would try to stop Hillary. One good question is what, if anything, could the Clintons offer to get his support.

Assuming that he wants to stop Hillary, it is better if either Edwards or Obama fades - assuming their supporters lean to the other, not to Hillary. But with one of them versus Hillary - Gore entering would likely take much of that person's support plus and letting Hillary win with about 30 some percent. The only way he could come out top is to enter soon and hope both fade.
